An editorial planning guide, not a booking or a confirmed schedule. Check current official requirements and the actual supplier terms before committing.
Choose your anchors
Start with two or three priorities rather than a complete catalogue of sights. Check their official visitor information before choosing dates; a route should fit actual admission arrangements, not the other way round.
Keep a large-site day distinct from a long excursion. A shorter neighbourhood walk can be a more enjoyable companion to either than another major ticketed visit.
Make the excursion explicit
If you plan a Great Wall outing, name the exact section, transport arrangement, walking expectations and return plan. “A Great Wall tour” does not describe a single interchangeable experience.
Ask what happens if weather changes or someone in your party does not want the planned walk. Confirm any accessibility needs with the specific venue or operator.
Leave a city day open
A flexible day lets you follow a museum interest, revisit a neighbourhood or simply rest. It also reduces the pressure to recover a missed activity by compressing everything else.
See a creator’s actual journey
